We learned this information after Blizzard released their annual earnings call, in which Blizzard announced their number of subscribers has dropped from over 12 million to about 11.4 million. So where the hell did over 600,000 players go? Blizzard proceeded to use a positive excuse for the massive decline in players saying players were consuming and completing all the new content too quickly. So even if players did consume all the new content too quickly, why would they leave and where did they go? In response to the massive loss in players Blizzard said they plan on pushing out new content and expansions much quicker, in hopes to keep people on the servers playing. All we can do is hope Blizzard puts out more quality content, that each subscriber actually enjoys. 

I can personally say that I am one of the 600,000 players that has recently quit playing World of Warcraft. The reason i decided to quit was very simple. I got completely bored with the game, it isn't as fresh as it used to be. The newer expansions seem require less skill, they're more time consuming, and less skill based. Top Ten Reasons Why WoW Players Are Quitting! (In no specific order)

• WoW is getting old and boring.

• Knocking chicks outta the ball park is way funner then WoW! 

• WoW takes less/more skill then previous patches.

• Your Girlfriend is going to break up with you if you don't quit!

• Fear of the all might Rapture on May the 21st.

• Classes are unbalanced in PvP and/or PvE. 

• Your Girlfriend DID break up with you because you play too much. 

• Mom decided to kick you out of the basement and turn off the internet, bummer...

• You realised most kids playing wow suck at life and need to GOML.

• Quitting wow to play another game that's simply better or more satisfying. Such as League of Legends, Eve, Aion, Rift.
