Sometimes it's good to try new things, sometimes it's good to free your mind and forget about getting blown up or randomed or ganked or trolled...take a journey and forget about it all.

This is a new up coming game from the developers at Thatgamecompany. It looked interesting to me so I thought I would share a bit with you guys. At first glimpse it looks like an Asian style assassination spirit game or something. In fact, it is...but without the assassination part. This is a good change of pace from all your fps, rpg, or rts games. This is a unique view on a different method of entertainment, adventure?!
Now I'm sure you all are thinking "WTF?! I love owning noobs and then telling them about how bad they are afterwards!" Yes yes I know. But maybe It's time to just relax, smoke a bowl, cuddle up in your blanket, turn off your lights, and pick up the PS3 sticks with your girlfriend or what not. Just doing the little research on this game got me in the mood to do exactly that.

At the beginning of the game, you play a character dressed in a red robe and scarf. A sweet melody plays, but there are no words. No narration. Nothing tells you what to do. You just go...From there you just start walking swiftly through the sand and explore the vast amount of desert and eventually make your way to the giant mountain you see in the far far distance. The graphics in the game look very clean, you can even see individual grains of sand move as the character runs through the sand dunes. This game reminds me of an interactive Pixar movie, and looks amazing.
In reality its a matter of opinion and taste. The majority of gamers want something that has action, violence (in a sense), and/or something up beat and fun to do. Personally I'm excited for the chance to get my hands on this. It seems like a relaxing game where really all you do is explore a desert. It seems like the kind of game to play when you're not in the mood to stress yourself out with something overly challenging.

Journey: Developer Interview
Jenova Chen, Co-Founder of Thatgamecompany has a very good outlook on life and he makes sure he incorporates that into his game development to share with us. It's hard to find this in the gaming world, most developers are just in it for the money and just want us to be washed up into their games. This makes an exception from that and that's respectable. I'm looking forward to trying this game out and making it to the top of that mountain. Journey does no have an exact release date but is said to be release sometime this year: 2011.
