JUST TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY! It's been awhile since Pax Prime 2011, though this game is still deeply embedded into my brain. Hi-Rez Studios was kind enough to let us play some of the beta with them at the event. The game lasted about an hour (was said to be the longest match of the entire event), although the hour couldn't have went by faster. It left me wanting to play more! Unfortunately we didn't have time for a rematch. But I think Canex leaving with a quadra-kill his first game was a good note to leave on. That being said, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS BETA!
For those of you who have no idea what Smite is, here is a brief summary - Smite has the same general concept as League of Legends or Dota, falling under the MOBA genre. Unlike most Moba games, Smite gives a unique 3rd person view on the battleground. All of the heroes (Gods) are based off of real Mythological Gods, such as Zues, Ra, Odin, Hades, ect...I think this will bring a more epic feel when shit starts going down on the battlefield! Gods vs Gods!
The controling of your unit has a very different feel to it also, theres no crosshair so all of your skills and attacks are complete skillshots. Bring us a very complex and skill based game.

My first impression for this game was great! I know what a lot of you are going to think about this game, but being a League of Legends player, and a huge MOBA fan. I found playing Smite was a very enjoyable experience, having fun all through out the game. I'm not saying I would drop playing LoL all together for it, but it will certainly be part of the family.
I will be playing this game for sure, so any information worth bringing up, I will definitely be posting about it. What do you guys think? Feel free to discuss it in the comments below!
