Even with all these new amazing games coming out this year, League Of Legends will still be a hard game to put down. Riot is stepping it up and actually coming out with some good stuff this year.

Riot has put up an informational video from E3 they release acouple days after this article was posted, just thought I'de update it for you guys. Enjoy!
Riot Games has revealed a few new champions at this years E3. I'm a sucker for new champs - even though I would prefer them to release something else for a change, it's still nice to play with the mechanics of a fresh new champ. These upcoming ones couldn't come out soon enough.
Do to E3 and the LoL Season 1 Championship at Dreamhack, the next champion spotlight is postponed until after Dreamhack(June 18-21). We will see the first champion Yorick release at the end of June, the others will follow shortly after.

Yorick "The Grave Digger": He has three different types of ghosts that he can dig up, each with a short cooldown and a short lifespan. Each ghost as different attributes, and each buffs Yorick in a different way. The only one they mentioned was the green ghost, which "explodes" when he dig it up, and then chases after enemies, doing damage and slowing them down. Yorick's buff from the green ghoul is that his attacks slow. Can someone say new main!? I can!
Leona "The Radiant Dawn": FINALLY A FEMALE TANK! We wanted her to be fat and ugly, too bad. She has a fire/sun theme going on. Her ultimate is a beam of light that she can place somewhere on the map that slows enemies inside the area for 1.5 seconds, then a giant wave of light crashes down, dealing stun and damage to everyone in the area. She looks pretty solid.
Skarner "The Crystal Vanguard": A scorpion champion. It seems like all moba games has to have one. He's a member of an intelligent race of diamond-encrusted scorpions. He can use his tail to impale champions and drag them around.
In addition to these new characters, Riot mentioned that some characters would be reworked. They didn't go into much description, but involves mostly art design change. Being an artist myself, I can appreciate this. There is so many bad covers for some of these champions.
Also a new spectator system! The new spectator system (to be used live in the Championships at Dreamhack) was the cherry on top of their E3 presentation. Players now have the ability to invite friends to watch their games. This system enables the viewer to see virtually anything in the current match. Spectators have multiple viewing options, ranging from revealing the entire map to seeing a single team’s fog of war view. They can even lock on and track a single player. Overall, the spectator system allows the viewer to see many details, including which skills have been taken, the players items, deaths, cooldowns, and more. One of the neatest features in the spectator system is the ability to see the total gold for each team. This is generally a good way to tell which team is farming better, getting dragon more often, winning the team fights, etc. It really is a quick way to judge who is winning the match.
It's about time they did this. Trying to watch matches with the commentators view was annoying, we would be stuck watching two people just farm creeps instead of a jungler coming in for a gank. Not no more!!! This new system seems legit.
Also, one more thing to add. Riot has said something about a release of a new map called Magma Chamber. But no need to hold your breathe this will not be released anytime soon, they are still deep into the testing process for this. Hopefully it will be ready to play at the end of the year.
Here's a look at the map concept, there are some rumors that riot did not like the way the map played and was said to go back to the drawing board. So these Images are NOT set in stone. Just thought you guys would like to see it anyway.
Magma Chamber

The map looks great, makes me wonder why they didnt think it was playable. Maybe the jungle routes or neutral creeps where a bit out of position? Well, whatever it is - I hope they put it together properly and I'm sure they will.
This will be a very good year for League Of Legends!
