2012 is scheduled to release a ton of incredible PC Games, many of which have us practically begging for them to be released. There are far too many titles for me to create a list of EVERY PC game that is scheduled for a 2012 release. So i comprised a short list of PC exclusives that i think are the Crème de la Crème on every PC gamers list. Here they are on no specific of bias order.. Maybe..
Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 is the sequel which takes place 250 years after the original MMO Guild Wars. ArenaNet is already conducting an early Beta for Guild Wars 2, which started in December 2011. ArenaNet is hard at work to make "The best MMO ever, which their fans deserve" and want your feedback to assist in the making process. One of the best parts about this MMO is the "1 time pay, and play" philosophy, buy Guild Wars and never pay for a subscription.
Hawken
Hawken is a Strategic Multiplayer First Person Mech Combat Shooter, that description made sense right? Anyways Adhesive Game is focusing on making an intense multiplayer combat scenario, that puts you in the drivers seat of a massive mech machine on the battle field. Mechs, fast paced action, a skill-based strategical shooter, Bass Canon, as a fan of shooters I'm completely sold. Check out this intense trailer.
Blacklight: Retribution
The Perfect World community has been enjoying tons of free to play titles exclusively for PC. BlackLight: Retribution is the newest completely free to play FPS from Zombie Studios. This FPS takes place in a futuristic neo Tokyo environment where you take control of your character in densely populated cities to complete missions and slay your enemies. Running on the Unreal Engine, Blacklight has created a fresh FPS that people can play for months on end. When it's free to play, and very customizable what have you got to lose?
Smite
The MOBA genre of multiplayer games has been blowing up the last few years, and SMITE has will join the scene with new innovative ideas. When you combined the gameplay of a traditional 5v5, 3 lane, jungle MOBA and add the fresh idea of making it third person it makes the game genius! Chose your favorite 'GOD' and dominate your enemies in this completely free to play MOBA from HI-REZ STUDIOS!
Firefall
Red 5 Studios put on a huge show as they showcased their new MMO/FPS/Third Person/Action Shooter at PAX East. Firefall is joining the free to play craze that is sweeping the gaming world. Red 5 Studios has created a beautiful interactive world that is completely different then ANY other PC game on the market. Watch and enjoy.
Tribes Ascend
Tribes is one of the most skill based shooters that has ever graces the PC, and Tribes Ascend is an amazing follow up sequel that will blow your mind. This is one of the most exciting action packed fast paced shooters that will keep you glued to your seat for hours. The physics and consistency in Tribes multiplayer gameplay is truly remarkable. As a competitive gamer i can say that Tribes is one of the most skill based competitive first person shooters of all time. The beta is up and currently running, the final build is going to be free to play so get ready to have your minds blown. Thanks HI-REZ- STUDIOS.
Diablo III
When Blizzard created Diablo they said to themselves "Lets make this most fanatic Point and Click Dungeon Crawler of all time" and they surely succeeded. Blizzard puts tons of time and effort into making some of the best PC games we have ever seen. The sheer amount of gamers that play Diablo religiously to this day is incredible. Diablo III has been a long time coming, and soon we will all be rolling through dungeons to collect more gear, duel your ass off, and showcase how absolutely your toons are. Damn you Blizzard..
DOTA 2
If you are a fan of MOBA games or your just into really competitive PC gaming Dota 2 is the game for you. In my opinion DOTA 2 is the absolute epitome of online multiplayer PC gaming. DOTA is the original grand daddy of MOBA's and has since sparked the phenomenon that is sweeping the online competitive market. Valve has never let down the gaming community, and they insist on producing a MOBA that will contest to be the biggest and best title ever produced. I mean The International Dota 2 Championships in Cologne, Germany put up a hefty purse of over 1 Million Dollars in cash. Yes I said CASH, and DOTA 2 is still in Beta. Can we say Gaming Powerhouse?
