1. What's New in Firefox and Chrome

   Desktop version of Firefox a few days ago received new functionality quickly restore settings, and mobile, which was in the store Play, gained a whole new look and a few other improvements.

   You will notice immediately refreshed the browser interface, which was purified from outdated and menu styles now adapts to the native look of the system on which it is running.

   Awesome Bar (also known as Smart Bar Loaction) has meant that not only the Firefox look more modern, but also popular pages, bookmarks and history are more accessible. Changes can also be seen on the home page (Awesome Screen), where the most popular pages, and on the same pages where the page zooming on touch screens respond faster and there are larger, more readable font. Also noteworthy is the introduction of co-operation with the Adobe Flash plug-in for the test version of Firefox for Android.

   The new test version of Firefox for Android is available for the Android 2.2 to 4.0, so far only in English. Soon there will be translation and version of browser for tablets. By the way, Mozilla is the first among producers of alternative browsers announced that working on a version of Firefox for PCs tablets  running under Windows 8.

   The latest Chrome 19 allows logged in users to synchronize open tabs between devices. Importantly, this function may also benefit holders of Chrome for Android - the same page so you can open on phone, tablet and laptop computer with one click. Of course, also continue to sync other data - bookmarks, applications, extensions, history, appearance or setting. It is worth noting that a similar type of synchronization between your PC and smartphone will find in Firefox for over a year by the Firefox Sync.

2. Tabs GK5 - free Joomla tab module released
   

   Yesterday, we released Tabs module belonging to a new series of extensions, namely GK5.
   It is the first module from the new series on which we are working right now.

   Microsoft will release two streams of its Windows 8 operating system: Windows RT for ARM devices and Windows 8 for x86-based hardware. This division is certain to introduce much confusion in the world of browsers.

    I sometimes wonder why, when preparing for the launch of Joomla 2.5, the Joomla team decided to remove the option to reset the number of article hits. In J1.5 this was a useful feature, especially in instances where an article had been modified (updated).
