New Counter-Strike: Global Offensive screenshots emerge from the underground!
Words cannot express how excited I am for Counter-Strike: GO, simply because this was the first FPS game I ever played and ultimately led up to my addiction to online gaming. That being said, I will definitely be putting many hours into this game and you can expect some footage from us in October when we get on that beta! Anyway, now for why you all clicked on the article.
Confirmed Arsenal Mode and Maps:
If you are familiar with Counter-Strike, then you are familiar with the custom game mod 'Gun Game'. The mod is a different type of game style then the usual plant the bomb/defuse to win. Arsenal: Demolition and Arsenal: Arms Race are two brand new game modes in C-S:GO. The object is to cycle through all of the guns by getting a kill with each, the first to do so wins. Eight brand new maps will be added to CS:GO for Arsenal mode, including the following four which have been confirmed so far:
CSGO_SUGARCANE
Sugarcane looks like it takes place inside a warehouse of a sugar mill perhaps. Reminds me a little bit of cs_assualt maybe?
CSGO_SHOOTS
Shoots looks like it takes place somewhere in Asia, the layout actually looks really fun to play Arsenal on. I can see it happening!
CSGO_STMARC
StMarc looks like it's designed after Saint Marc Hill, Haiti deep in the Caribbean. Hints the name.
CSGO_BAGGAGE
Baggage takes place in an airport, great...More realistic that ever! Haha seriously tho, I wouldn't feel right being Terrorist on this map. Common with cs_747 maybe?
Confirmed Classic Maps:
DE_DUST
We got a chance to play this map at Pax Prime this year, it has a few minor changes to the map layout such as a new staircase and a bridge connecting over to CT platform.
DE_DUST2
I am so sick of this map, I don't have ESEA so I am forced to play this map over and over on public servers. Even still, I can't wait to play this map in Global Offensive. Dust 2 has been one of the most played C-S maps ever since it's release and also one of the most competitive, I wonder how this will turn out and what major impact it will have on the gameplay.
DE_AZTEC
Aztec is just an all around fun map, I remember back in my prime C-S days I got my first ace in a scrim on this map. This will always be one of my favorites.
DE_INFERNO
Inferno is a great competitive map still played today, since De_Dust got a few minor changes to the layout I can only guess this map will receive some as well.
CS_OFFICE
I never really got into this map, I mean of coarse I've played this map so many times it's not even funny but it wasn't played competitively. I can only recall playing this map with some sort of mod, so I'm curious on how this will play out.
CS_ITALY
Classic Italy, I love this map! YAY!
DE_NUKE and DE_TRAIN Are also confirmed maps, just no imagery. Sorry!

Alright, now being a 1.6 player I can't expect this game to be anything like it. I have made peace with that, and I am definitely ready to adapt to anything. CS:GO looks great so far. We will keep you posted on all CS:GO news.
